First Math Club Meeting: MATH AND ART

Please join us for a sampling of math-driven art.  You can expect exposure to several topics:

The Golden Ratio - the mathematics of beauty
Origami - geometry through paper-folding
M.C. Escher - the father of geometric art
The Hypercube - a visualization of 4 dimensions
String Art (or Line Art) - with a connection to calculus

An underlying goal of the meeting (besides learning some neat math) is to create a design for a math club t-shirt.  This meeting is perfect for anyone interested in art or math, with no advanced math skills necessary!

Tuesday, October 25th
3:45-5:00
